As some of your know before I started this blog I use to showcase my outfit choices on facebook. I've picked a fews as a tribute to what was... and where the blog is going in the coming year. It's fun to have an outlet to share ideas and have fun with fashion.

Post Christmas Wrap Up

Each Christmas I think everyone gets an unexpected gift or two that really make their day. Usually it's special little things we wouldn't pick up for ourselves, or on the flip side they're those necessary things we need and never think to pick up.

A little YSL... JCrew chunky necklace...a hedgehog ring & elephant stationary... a better memory card for my camera, anddd best of all a fluffy little monkey. Okay, Mindy's not a monkey but she certainly can act like one.

Each of these gifts is special and different & I'm very grateful to those who gave them to me.

"not a finggger"

The Avett Brothers say it best... "if you're loved by someone than you're never rejected"

No matter how hectic our lives are when Christmas rolls everything slows down. We begin to remember those people and things that make life worth it everyday. So today enjoy your family and friends, eat good food, drink too much, and watch the flakes fall.

pretty mindy

Hi bloggies- I'm Mindy! Here's a few things to know about me: I'm a morkie. I came from Florida. I'm 9 weeks old today.
things I like: sneakers, people's feet, giving kisses, getting hugs, taking baths in my water dish, my elefun  friend pinky, and chasing my tail

Outfit Envy

Check out this little number. I love it from head to toe. This leopard cardigan is just so easy to pair with any color in the rainbow The merlot Sarah chose is a rich luxurious take. I know it's tough to tell, but this cardigan has a little black lace around the shoulder. It's the little attention to detail that really sells a garment for me.

The leather mini with the suede knee high boots is really 60's to me. The combo works because of the skirt's length. If the leather skirt was a few inches longer I think the whole outfit wouldn't work.

Ramsy Boot- Elie Tahari

Those boots were made for walking. Love the merlot color which was so on trend for Fall. Love the slouchy effect they have on the leg. Love the heel. All and all it's a great boot- highly recommend it.

it's like christmas eve, i just can't wait for morning

I mean if these windows don't scream Elton John's "Step Into Christmas" I don't know what does? My wonderfully talented friend lil t in the visual manager for GANT. These pictures are of her 5th ave store in New York City.

For those of you who are not familiar with GANT here's a few fun facts:

- a Swedish clothing brand
-was launched in New Haven in 1949
-product lines include: men, women, boys, girls, babies, home time, fragrance, footwear, underwear, and eyewear.
-clothing is available in department stores such as: Neiman Marcus

I just love the details of the frosted garland around the window. It's like looking to a home on Christmas eve, and being brought into an intimate atmosphere.

t, does a great job of setting the ideal scene for the holidays. It's youthful, but traditional. I can see so many different people being attracted to this scene.

The special touches put this scene over the top for me. Love the wrapped presents I just want to rip them open- or I imagine the most beautiful things being inside. The reindeer wrapped in a red sweater is a cute addition.

Step into Christmas the admission's free!

Holiday Weekly Wrap Up: All of the Lights

J.Crew Men's Shop

Club Monaco

Last Wednesday my life changed as I knew it. I got a new little puppy. A friend for life. She's cute and more than I could have dreamed. She's been keeping me very occupied so I missed out on blogging this week, but I promise not to blame her in the future.

For this holiday wrap up I focused on lights. I love when stores put lights in their windows at holiday, makes everything inside look 10x more special.

Closet Spotlight: Elie Tahari Carolann Dress

Carolann Dress- Elie Tahari

This dress is one of my favorite purchases of all time. Honestly, no bluffing, and I'm not just saying it. I got this two resort seasons ago from Elie, and ever since than I've found several ways to wear it.

I like that this dress can double as a top. I've tucked it into high waisted white pants, navy blue cropped straight pants, and a black simple skirt. Resort season at Elie is always jam packed with great finds- pieces that are easy to wear thru all seasons.

The primary color of this dress is a champagne, but toward the ends of the sleeves and bottom of the dress is a beautiful light blue. There's great oriental flowers and peacock feathers on this silk dress.
The boho feel of it is super fun. This dress screams for a night out in Newport, RI to me, or I can totally see it on Mary Kate Olsen making her look even smaller than humanly possible.
