My little monster is 8 years old today. My how the time has flown by. He's extra special as he turns two ages in one day! Gotta love a leap year baby. So Happy 2nd & 8th Birthdays buddy.

I couldn't pass these little red flats up. The fact that they were also on sale made the guilt a softer pill to swallow. You can find them here. 


They were made in a few different colors. I had been searching for a red pair, and the fact that these have little Eiffel Towers on them... done deal. 

it's never too...late to open the door.

Over the past couple weeks I've been reconnecting with friends. It's always a great feeling to meet up with someone, and have it feel as though no time had past since the last time you saw them. 
When your young your life is all about the friendships you have. Once we grow up it can be tougher to see friends. Life has a way of making things complicated. 
So sometimes it's nice to slow down... have dinner, go to a party, or just pick up the phone and reconnect. It's good to know with some friends the door is never closed.

This summer I went with my boyfriend to the Chihuly exhibition at the MFA. This man is a complete genius. The bulk of his installations were based on the ocean floor. It's hard to narrow down a favorite, but I have to say the ocean shells he put into a ceiling installation was breath taking. 


The beginning of the show I've placed at the end of this blog. When you walked into the exhibit you were greeted by his large pirate ship chalked full of hard candy looking sea creatures. 


I had to dedicate a post to this beautiful artwork, and serve to me as a reminder to get to a museum again soon. 

my fair city.

Since meeting my former roommate I haven't had to buy much art the past few years. She is quite the artist and has decked out my room with her creations.
 However, after joining the website Fab.com this print of the Boston skyline caught my eye. I loved the bright colors the artist used.

Clearly, Mindy's into it. Or she wants to go all Godzilla on this shit. 

Now all I need to find is a frame, and hang it. 

to live & die in nyc.

I love New York. All pervious visits to inside the city have been spent working. Actually getting to enjoy the city was amazing. I got to see all the sights, do a little shopping, and spend time with the littlest t. The energy and pace of nyc is quite addictive. It always reaffirms feelings for me that being creative is the right direction for my future. 

Each time I leave I think of new places I need to go back, and experience so until next time, T I'll be building my list. Thank you for having me-love yous.

My Sweet Beginning.

There's really nothing better than a great bar. A few weeks ago my college roommates and I all got together in the city for dinner and drinks. 

Parish Cafe right off Mass. Ave is one of the best bars as far as selections. There's literally something for every taste. My friend Colleen who lives close to the bar has her own mug! Love that. 

It's always nice to see my roommates from that special time in my life. We had a very fun night, and if your in that area it's a must check out scene.

nevermind...

Hey wait, I got a new complaint.... this was streaming non-stop thru my head today. I was freelancing out in Dedham, MA at Legacy Place which is a beautiful outdoor mall. It's the kind of place you'd picture to be in Southern Cali or Florida, buttt it's in cold ass Mass. 

My outfit today consisted of: a Grateful Dead beat up t-shirt from Urban Outfitters, a cashmere print sweater from Elie Tahari, denim cut-offs from Levi's, and a gray printed belt from JCrew. I love being able to mix and match items from my wardrobe while working! It's a luxury I was never allotted while working for my former employer.

I piled on an interesting combo for my arm party today. Thrown in the mix: some gems from Alex & Ani including an exclusive pink spike bracelet that's only sold in the Boston location, 24/7 beaded bracelet from onujewelry. gamble bracelet from Louis Vuitton, & my newest purchase my cone rose gold number from Eddie Borgo. 

To bottom out my outfit I slapped on some Missoni navy tights & my Giuseppe Zanotti lyric flats that have lyrics to Patti Smith's "Because the Night." I figured if I was going for a rock n roll look I must as well commit head-to-toe style. 

The Mindy Report

Hello World!!! Last week I went to the groomer's for the very first time. I was extremely brave, and smelled like a delicious combo of cinnamon and baby powder for days!!!

I did NOT like this little pink bow. In fact I hated it. I tried pulling it out the second it got in there, and eventually a day later I got the sucker out. I made sure to chew it up while my mom wasn't looking so she couldn't get it back in my hair. 

Everyone loved to snuggle with me after I was rubbed and scrubbed clean. Mom can't wait till I go back! Don't tell the girls but I can't either....minus the bow part.
