it's my sweet beginning

This past weekend my sister moved into her new home! It's a very exciting time, and I was happy to be able to help her with the big transition. Over the weekend we talked about the great times they will share in this space. How someday my niece will take her prom photos in the beautiful backyard. That my nephew will have an area to drive his golfballs. I'm so happy for them, and their sweet beginning.

Just a glimpse at the Barbies my niece got for her birthday this weekend. I'm not gonna lie where was this stuff when I was 6?? She asked me to get her a Ken to go with her growing Barbie collection which I happily obliged. Who knew Ken was such a hipster now?.. I could not pass up that outfit. So, as the song goes, come on Barbie let's go party!

they just seem a little weird....

Today was filled with it's ups and downs. I just got in and have a fresh wound from the Bruins being knocked out of the playoffs in overtime to the Capitals. Sadddds. On a brighter note today was admin professionals appreciation day. Above you can see the beautiful flowers, chocolate, & note I got from my office. It's always nice to be recognized for the job you do, and getting flowers never hurts.


Another bright note is the fact that I can't seem to get Cheap Trick's "Surrender" out of my head after New Girl's episode last night. I searched the web for a clip of Jess's flashback to her childhood singing this great song, and came up empty handed. wah wah. 

I just have to give into the fact that you all will have this stuck in your heads. Don't worry though you're in good company as I currently can't get it out of mine... 

what's in yo bag girl???

I'm the type of girl who likes to rotate her handbags, and I know it's always a mystery to people what's inside a girl's bag. So, here's a peek into mine. 

Currently I'm carrying my Chloe padlock bag, which unfortunately is out of production. I love how easy it is to stuff with my belongings yet I can still find everything quickly.


I  tend to always have 3 or 4 different lipglosses on hand. My fave is the YSL it gives the perfect hint of gold and glitter. My Chanel lip balm is a staple. I don't go a day without applying it, and it leaves my lips feeling like I just downed a big water.


I live and die for my Ipod, and naturally I need to keep my keys at hand for jumping in the car, going to my parents houses, and getting into my own apt.

Tonight.We Are Young.

Saturday at a glance. It was a beautiful day yesterday in Boston so before going to see Fun. we hung out around Fenway. The Red Sox unfortunately lost huge to the Yankees, but the show more than made up for it. Shout outs to Rajon Rondo. All in all a nice little Saturday in my fair city.

seeds of love

My very good friend gave these to me this weekend. When she tossed them over at me she quickly let roll out of her mouth I know you're in the market for a healthy relationship start growing. In hindsight the more I looked at the packet made me think of how you have to make any strong relationship grow thru constant care and consideration. 


So what started as a joke will end in my backyard garden, as the little packets hold seeds inside that I'll plant beneath the soil. Only time will tell if something beautiful will bloom, I guess the same is true for me too. 


Also, totally not related but extremely exciting going to see Fun. this Saturday... kind of can't wait.

Typically I live by the philosophy that bigger is better, however lately I've been on a hunt for thin banded gold or silver rings. I think they sit pretty on someone's hand, and it's the easiest way to accessorize yourself. 

When I spotted this little guy by Gorjana on shopbop, and only 2 were left in my size I had to scoop it up. Sadly, my ring with a star engraved on it is sold out. The great thing about the brand is all their jewelry is easy to layer on. I did find this on their site a little horseshoe. So, I might have to add that one for my other lady hand.

This post comes with the admission that my mother still babies me when it comes to the holidays. This year instead of the usually basket she opted for a gift bag & boxes. The bag was weighed down with about 5lbs. of candy. All the traditional faves were present: Peeps, Cadbury Eggs, Mini Eggs... I could go on. 


To my surprise I spotted a tiny box with the letters m & r on top. I loved what I found inside a delicate friendship style bracelet from LA based jewelry designer muses & rebels. Check out more of her designs here. As an admitted arm party junkie this little baby is a welcome addition.
